I am trying to hyperlink a bookmark from a word document to a cell in an excel spreadsheet. I can hyperlink the word document, but not the bookmark within the word document -- I know it's possible to do. I keep getting an error message when I try to link the book marked word document. Can you tell me how to make the hyperlink work? Could you also give an example? Thanks.

For example, a hyperlink on Products.htm points to a page named apple.htm in a folder named Food; if both pages are moved to a folder named Food on a different server, the URL in the hyperlink will still be correct. In an Excel workbook, unspecified paths to hyperlink destination files are by default relative to the location of the active workbook.
I'm not entirely clear what you are trying to do, but putting #bookmarkname after the document name should link to the bookmark. To Link to a particular cell in Excel you need to name the cell.
Select the cell you want to link to.
In the top left hand corner you will see the cell address.
Click on this.
Type in the name you want to use
Enter.

When you set up your hyperlink to Excel if you link to myexcelfile.xls#mycellname this should open the worksheet and go to the named cell.
- I receive PDF documents that have hundreds, sometimes thousands, of pages that have been scanned and bookmarked. They are accompanied by lists which I convert to Excel for reference and notes. I would like to link to these PDFs and open them up at a particular bookmark. Is it still not possible to do this?
- Im hoping someone out there will be able to help me with a little problem I wish to solve please? I have a works sheet that has loads of part numbers listed in column B, Im hoping somehow that any part numbers added into this column inc existing ones will be able to be clicked and open up a corresponding pdf file ( all saved under the actual part number) and open it.
- To create destinations within a PDF with Acrobat: Manually navigate through the PDF for the desired location. Go to View Navigation Tabs Destinations. Under Options, choose Scan Document. Once this is completed, select New Destination from the Options menu and enter an appropriate name.
- Hyperlink to PDF document bookmarks in XL sheet using Macros I wish to open and view a specific location in a pdf document, (from an XL File) by creating a hyperlink in XL file, for the pdf-document-bookmarks.

You can link the PDF file with Insert > Hyperlink > [path of file] When the link is clicked and the PDF file exists at that location on the machine, the file will be opened (after the accepts it in a warning dialog).

I strongly doubt though, that it is at all possible, to link to a specific page in a PDF. But why not just specify the relevant page in a note next to the link.
Example:

You can write a macros to start Acrobat with parameters.
Excel Hyperlink To Pdf Bookmark File
When opening a PDF document from a command shell, you can pass the parameters to the open command using the /A switch with the following syntax:
Windows 10 Education N. Windows 10 pro license activation legally.
Andrii HordaAndrii Horda
A working implementation of the VBA suggestion from Andrii Horda would be..
(With Acrobat Reader DC and the links to the PDF files listed in Column E)
